Are your candles non toxic?

We've taken great care to create candles that are as safe and environmentally friendly as possible. However, it's important to note that no candle is completely "non-toxic" when burned. 

We strive to make our candles using as many natural components as possible without compromising quality. We do not add any dye to our candles, our candles are made with a soy coconut wax blend, which supports sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, we use wicks that are free from metals, providing you with a more eco-friendly burn.

When it comes to fragrance, we adhere to strict safety and compliance standards, using only natural essential oils or high-quality fragrance oils that have been thoroughly tested and certified.

 

Are your candles scented with essential oils?

 

We use essential and synthetic fragrances in our candles. 100% essential oil can be resource-intensive and very costly. For example, 30-50 roses are needed for just one drop of rose oil, meaning a small candle could require harvesting hundreds of rose bushes. 

It's important to note that any fragrance, whether essential oil or synthetic, can be an allergen. This is why we follow strict compliance and usage guidelines to ensure the highest quality and safety in our candles.

What is the benefit of burning a soy coco blend? 

We believe burning a soy blend offers benefits, as soy wax tends to burn cleaner than some other waxes. However, cleanliness of a candle's burn is influenced by various factors. In the past, soy was marketed as 'healthy' and 'nontoxic,' but recent studies show little difference in air emissions between soy and paraffin. 

The type of wax and wick used can affect soot production, along with flame height, drafts, and fragrance choice. We test our waxes, wicks, and fragrances for multiple variables. While soy wax burns cleaner, other factors are important too. Candle care, such as regular wick trimming, placing candles in well-ventilated areas away from drafts, and following safety instructions, greatly impacts their burn quality.
